Jesus' Commands (EO10)

Grace and Truth
 'Word of their Testimony'

John 1:14  And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth.
The Word (God) was made flesh, so that God's grace and truth are freely given to all mankind who believe and obey Him.

Saved by Grace
Eph 2:8  For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God,
By God's grace, whoever believes and accepts the gospel of Christ will be saved.
Rom 1:16  For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes for the Jew first and also for the Greek.

Unbelief of Jesus' Disciples
Luke 24:6-8  He is not here, but is risen! Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee, saying, ‘The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.’” And they remembered His words.
For about 3 years our Lord Jesus living amongst His disciples was teaching them His words. They had seen His many miracles and had believed that He was the Christ, the Messiah. They were hoping that He would deliver Israel from the Romans, and they, being His disciples will be highly respected.
They refused to accept God's will of Jesus coming as the Lamb of God - that He would suffer, killed and on the third day rose from the dead.  Since they did not believe the resurrection of Jesus, they were not saved until they believed the complete gospel.
Luke 24:9-11  Then they returned from the tomb and told all these things to the eleven and to all the rest. It was Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and the other women with them, who told these things to the apostles. And their words seemed to them like idle tales, and they did not believe them.

Salvation of Disciples
John 20:20  When He had said this, He showed them His hands and His side. Then the disciples were glad when they saw the Lord.
His disciples, having seen His hands and side, were glad to believe Jesus had risen from the dead. They had believed the complete gospel of Christ and were saved. Our risen Lord immediately gave them the Holy Spirit of redemption making them born-again Christians.
At Pentecost, many of them broke out with tongues (one of the many gifts of the Holy Spirit), a sign of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit.
John 20:22  And when He had said this, He breathed on them, and said to them, “Receive the Holy Spirit."

More Grace to the Humble
Jam 4:6  But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: "God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble."
Besides the saving grace where our Lord gives every believer the Holy Spirit of redemption, our Lord Jesus will give more grace to all those who have humbled themselves by keeping His commandments. (True humility in Jesus washing disciples' feet - John 13:5-15)

More Grace to Disciples
John 14:15-17a “If you love Me, keep My commandments. And I will pray the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may abide with you forever — the Spirit of truth
As promised these faithful disciples who had kept His commandments were baptized with the Holy Spirit of truth.
During Pentecost, with truth taught by the Holy Spirit, these poorly educated fishermen were instantly transformed into fearless, knowledgeable and anointed preachers, who convinced 3000 devout Jews to accept the gospel of Christ and water baptism.
John 16:13  However, when He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and He will tell you things to come.”

Endtime Overcomers (EO01)

Faith Overcomes the World I John 5:4 _For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world...
